Short version: your controller data stays on your device.

Controller data
Button, stick, trigger, motion and battery readings are processed inside your browser tab. They are not sent to our servers or to anyone else.
What is stored on your device
- Your theme choice, under the key
ct-theme. - The device passport for each controller you connect: first seen date, session count, active time and press count, under keys starting with
ct-passport:. - Calibration profiles you choose to save, under keys starting with
ct-calibration:.
You can delete all of it by clearing site data for controllertester.wiki in your browser settings, or with the Clear history button on the test bench.
Permissions
The gyro and battery tools ask for WebHID access, and the MIDI tester asks for Web MIDI access. The browser only grants access to the device you pick, and only while the page is open.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested and browser type) to keep the service running and secure. We do not use advertising trackers.
